“Are You Looking for Amazing Chocolate Dessert Try These Vegan Chocolate Baklava”

We all have our own variety of “comfort food,”particular items or dishes that calm our nerves. Mine is chocolate. To be more specific, dark chocolate.  I can be in the worst mood ever, but after a few minutes of intake of the magic food, I’m transported to high levels of happiness.  When most people travel, they seek out antique shops, or good restaurants. I look for chocolate shops. If you are looking for easy chocolate dessert recipe then this one is for you.

I use three of my favorite ingredients – dark chocolate,  filo dough and candied orange skin- to make chocolate baklava. These baklava put me  in the wow zone every time I eat them.

Here is my recipe for Vegan Chocolate  Baklava Dome

Makes 8 cups

6      large baklava sheets, cover the sheets with moist towel to prevent drying

1/2 cup coconut oil

1      cup coarsely chopped pistachio

3     tablespoons chopped candied orange skin or orange marmalade

2     tablespoons dark chocolate chips

2    tablespoons cocoa powder

hist of cayenne pepper

1/2 cup sugar and orange blossom water syrup*

-Melt the coconut oil and gently brush one sheet.  Place another sheet on top and repeat until you reach the last sheet.


-Cut the oiled sheets into 8 equal squares.

-Gently push each square into espresso cup.

-Mix the  pistachio with orange marmalade and the chocolate chips.  Divide the pistachio mixture between the filo cups.  Fold the top and gently turn the cup upside down.  Place the folded side down.  Bake in a 250 F. oven for 25 minutes.  Remove from the oven, drizzle with the cold sugar syrup.

Allow the cups to cool for couple hours.  Mix the coco powder with the cayenne pepper and dust each dome for fabulous dessert.

*Sugar Syrup

2       cups sugar

1       cup water

1       tablespoon lemon juice

1       tablespoon orange blossom water

-Place the sugar with the water and the lemon juice in heavy sauce pan.  Bring to boil, turn down the heat and simmer for 15 minutes and the syrup is thicken.  Remove from the heat, add the orange blossom water.  Allow the syrup to cool for one day before using.
